On Thursday 27 July, the European Climate Executive Agency (CINEA) announced the launch of a public dashboard offering transparent and detailed access to more than 1,400 projects - worth more than €3.5 billion - subsidised by the European Union’s financial instrument for the environment, LIFE.
The dashboard is presented as going beyond the “simple legal obligation of transparency”, by allowing users to adapt the statistics and visualisations according to their specific needs.
Thanks to daily data updates and a variety of search filters, such as sub-programmes, countries, cities, participants, habitats, species and Natura 2000 sites, policy-makers, European researchers, LIFE beneficiaries, curious citizens and future funding applicants can now better understand the EU environment and the impact of climate actions supported by this European fund.
In addition, this innovative tool aims to meet the requirements of the LIFE community to optimise its efforts and achieve the EU’s environmental objectives.
