27/07/23 (Agence Europe) – Twelve consortia of media organisations will benefit from €14 million in European funding, announced the European Commission on Thursday 27 July. The funding will support cross-border journalism projects over the next two years. In particular, it will support them in creating cross-border productions, developing common business and editorial standards, experimenting with new types of newsrooms and formats and setting up training programmes. This is the second call under the NEWS initiative of the Media and Audiovisual Action Plan. The next call, launched in December, is currently being evaluated.
