27/07/23 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 27 July, the European Banking Authority (EBA) launched a public consultation on its draft guidelines for the creation of national registers listing credit servicers authorised in the territory of a Member State of the European Union, in accordance with the ‘CSD’ directive (2021/2167) governing credit servicers. Future EBA guidelines will specify the information contained in these registers, which will be public in order to ensure a level playing field in the EU and transparency for credit buyers and borrowers.
