24/07/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 20 July, the European Banking Authority (EBA) launched a public consultation on draft templates for collecting climate-related data from EU banks. This is part of a one-off analysis of the 'Fit for 55' climate risk scenario that EBA will carry out with the other European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) - ESMA and EIOPA - and with the support of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB). The model projects are accompanied by a template guidance which includes definitions and rules for compiling models. The draft templates are designed to collect financial and climate-related information on credit risk, market risk and property risk. The consultation will be open until 11 October.
