11/07/2023 (Agence Europe) – On the evening of Monday 10 July, the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy validated the agreement reached during the interinstitutional negotiations on the Act in Support of Ammunition Production (ASAP), by 53 votes to four with two abstentions. Parliament will vote in plenary session on the agreement on Thursday 13 July. The Member States’ ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) gave their approval on Friday 7 July. Negotiators from Parliament and the Council of the EU reached agreement on ASAP during their second session of interinstitutional negotiations on the night of 6-7 July (see EUROPE 13218/1). (CG)
