05/07/23 (Agence Europe) – Export restrictions linked to Covid-19 and the war in Ukraine are having difficulty being lifted in the G20 countries, according to a report by the World Trade Organization (WTO) published on Tuesday 4 July. The measures mainly concern agri-food products and fertilisers. In mid-2023, the G20 countries still had 63 export restrictions on these types of products. This figure is down, however, as 101 measures of this type have been imposed since the start of the war in Ukraine. The authors of the document also point out that, since October 2022, more measures facilitating trade have been put in place than measures restricting it in the G20 countries.
