European Parliament and EU Council reach partial agreement on ‘ozone-depleting substances’ regulation

On Tuesday 13 June, negotiators from the European Parliament, the Swedish Presidency of the EU Council and the European Commission reached a partial agreement on the revision of Regulation EC 1005/2009 on ozone-depleting substances (ODS). This proposed revision, presented in April 2022 (see EUROPE B12926A3), aims to strengthen the effectiveness of measures already in place within the European Union, in the interests of the environment, health and the climate.
