European Peace Facility, EU adopts support measures of almost €5 million for Niger

On Thursday 8 June, the Council of the EU adopted two assistance measures for Niger’s armed forces under the European Peace Facility.

The first measure, totalling €4.7 million, is intended to provide the armed forces with military equipment designed to “deliver lethal force in full respect of relevant international law”, said the Council in a press release.
