The draft report by Frédérique Ries (Renew Europe, Belgian), presented and debated on 27 May in the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), attempts to reconcile the opposing views of the left and the right on the extremely complex proposal for a Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste, presented at the end of 2022 to boost the re-use of packaging and the prevention of packaging waste (see EUROPE B13074A7).
