Migration and Asylum Pact, EU Member States maintain goal of approving two new mandates in June

On Wednesday morning, 3 May, Member States discussed the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU’s latest proposals on balancing solidarity and responsibility in asylum and migration (see EUROPE B13173A3).

However, after a discussion lasting about 2 hours and involving all delegations, they have not yet sent a clear signal on the Swedish Presidency’s chances of obtaining two new mandates on the draft Asylum and Migration Management Regulation (AMMR) and Asylum Procedures...
