03/05/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 3 May, the European Parliament opened its call for nominations for the Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for Journalism to mark World Press Freedom Day. Awarded annually, the prize recognises journalistic work promoting the EU’s fundamental principles (the Rule of law, democracy, human rights etc.) in memory of the Maltese investigative journalist murdered in 2017 (see EUROPE B13045A25).
