The European Union, Serbia and Kosovo on Tuesday 18 April established a Joint Monitoring Committee to oversee the implementation of the Agreement on normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and its Implementation Annex.
This comes 30 days after the high-level dialogue meeting on 18 March in Ohrid, North Macedonia, as provided for in the implementation annex (see EUROPE 13145/5), the European External Action Service (EEAS) said in its statement.
The terms of reference of the joint committee should be finalised and adopted at its first meeting, which will take place after the next high-level dialogue meeting in Brussels on 2 May, the EEAS explained. The committee will meet regularly in Brussels.
It will be chaired by the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák. Kosovo will be represented by its ambassador in Brussels, Agron Bajrami, and Serbia by its chief negotiator, Petar Petković. (Original version in French by Camille-Cerise Gessant)
