13/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 13 April, the European Research Council (ERC) revealed the names of the organisations selected to join the FRONTIERS consortium. FRONTIERS is a residency programme for science journalists in research institutions located in the European Union. Its primary objective is to promote independent and ethically responsible science journalism. The residency programme has a budget of €1.5 million and will enable 40 science journalists to spend 3–5 months immersed in research institutions across Europe, in all scientific fields. Projects are expected to start in May 2023. The consortium includes the Centre for Ethics in Science and Journalism (Italy), the NOVA University of Lisbon (Portugal), and the Pompeu Fabra University (Spain).
