13/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) announced on Thursday 13 April the establishment of a dedicated task force to foster cooperation and the exchange of information on possible enforcement actions by national data protection authorities. This decision comes after the Italian data protection authority decided on 31 March to block access to the artificial intelligence service ChatGPT on its territory. In addition, the EDPB also adopted a dispute resolution decision in a case between the Irish Data Protection Authority (DPA) and the Meta Group, which owns Facebook. This decision, on whether to include an administrative fine or an additional compliance order in the final DPA decision, will be published by the EDPB once the Irish authority has adopted its final decision.
