04/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 4 April, a European diplomat announced that preparations for the adoption of an 11th package of sanctions against Russia for its military aggression against Ukraine should begin before the end of the month, after Catholic and Orthodox Easter, adding that there were already “intense bilateral consultations”. According to this diplomat, the package should focus more on circumventing existing measures, but it could also tackle new banks and dual-use products. It should also include targeted sanctions against additional individuals and entities. In addition to this 11th package, the EU is still working on the revision of the oil price cap and on new sanctions against Belarus. (CG)
