23/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 23 March, the European Commission adopted a decision to set up a High Level Group to provide advice and expertise on the implementation of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) (see EUROPE 13054/14). In addition to its advisory role, the High Level Group will also have to provide analysis in the context of market studies on emerging services and practices, “in order to ensure the sustainability of the marketing authorisation”, says the European Commission. The 30 representatives of the High Level Group, nominated by different EU bodies and agencies, such as the European Data Protection Supervisor or the European Competition Network, will have a two-year mandate. They should meet at least once a year. (TM)
