Towards conclusions to promote inclusion of a gender dimension in policies and budgets in EU

The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU will present a first draft of conclusions on gender mainstreaming and gender budgeting to the Social Questions Working Party on Wednesday 22 March.

A theme dear to the Swedish Minister for Gender Equality, Paulina Brandberg (see EUROPE B13107A12), the text calls on Member States and the EU to “systematically integrate a gender equality perspective into all policymaking and legislation, including the budget process”.
