EU condemns “sham trial” of Nobel Peace Prize winner Ales Bialiatski to 10 years in prison

On Friday 3 March, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, condemned “in the strongest possible terms” the “sham trials” that led to the sentencing of four human rights defenders, including the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Ales Bialiatski, to up to 10 years in prison.
