Sustainable consumption and new consumer rights, Swedish Presidency of EU Council tries to reach a compromise

The proposal for a Directive to empower consumers in the European Union to play an active role in the green transition is the subject of a new compromise prepared by the Swedish Presidency of the EU Council to enable Member States to move forward. A first compromise was already presented to the EU27 experts under the Czech Presidency last September (see EUROPE B13033A4).
