10/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 9 February, the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy approved the compromise between the main political groups put together by Ciarán Cuffe (Greens/EFA, Irish) on the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (49 votes in favour, 18 against and 6 abstentions). Ambitious measures are planned to combat energy poverty, phase out the use of fossil fuels and help properties to engage in renovation campaigns (see EUROPE 13116/9, 13111/1).
