02/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday, 1 February, the European Commission and Singapore signed a digital partnership. In particular, this partnership should make it possible to “facilitate the free flow of goods and services in the digital economy, while upholding privacy”, indicated the European Commission. Collaboration between the two parties will be increased in several areas, such as semiconductors, data flows, digital trust, standards, digital trade facilitation, digital skills for workers, and even the digital transformation of businesses and public services. The strategic partnership that the EU signed with Singapore is the third of its kind in Asia, following those signed with Japan in May 2022 and with South Korea in November 2022. (TM)
