25/01/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) published a report on Wednesday 25 January in which it stated that new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU fell by 14.6% in 2022. This situation, ACEA says, is “mainly due to persistent supply chain problems, which have affected vehicle availability throughout the year”. The largest declines were in France (-17.7%), Spain (-16.7%) and Germany, where new registrations of this type of vehicle fell by 11%. New bus and coach registrations also fell in 2022, with an overall drop of 5.1%. Again, France and Germany are among the worst affected countries, seeing declines of 14.2% and 24.6% respectively.
