12/12/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 12 December, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) published a short report on a training course on “epidemic intelligence and rapid risk assessment”, which took place from 5 to 8 December in Yerevan, Armenia. The training was attended by 19 health professionals from the Armenian National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, two representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO), two EPIET/MediPIET alumni fellows (European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training Fellowship) and two scientific experts from ECDC. The objective of the training was to engage in a dialogue on how to strengthen epidemic intelligence and rapid risk assessment procedures to improve Armenia’s public health preparedness and response capacity. The training was held as part of the EU Initiative on Health Security (EU-HSI). (EV)
