European Commission adopts Malta’s CAP Strategic Plan

30/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 November, the European Commission adopted the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plan presented by Malta. This plan is supported by €122 million in EU funds. It includes €47 million for environmental and climate objectives and green programmes and €4.9 million for young farmers. Around €18.1 million of CAP funds will be allocated to stabilise farmers’ incomes. Additional coupled support will be given to sectors in difficulty, such as beef, dairy, sheep and tomatoes.
