29/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – The retail trade unions and employers' associations, Eurocommerce and Uni Europa, set up, on 29 November, a large-scale skills partnership for the retail industrial ecosystem, the European Commission announced in a statement. “The ambition of the partnership is to allow people and businesses to acquire new skills for the digital and green transitions of Europe's economy”. The partnership will focus “on promoting lifelong learning in the retail sector, help to share best practices as well as monitor available and needed skills”, the statement added. The partnership is part of the Pact for Skills, in which nearly 1,000 organisations have pledged to reskill more than six million people across Europe. (SP)
