Giorgia Meloni in Brussels on Thursday 3 November

28/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will meet with European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels on Thursday 3 November, her first trip abroad since the formation of Italy’s far-right dominated government. Meloni has already met with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday 23 October in Rome and spoke by phone with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Friday 28 October, reiterating the importance of supporting Ukraine in the face of Russian armed aggression and of finding quick solutions to soaring energy prices for struggling households and businesses.
