04/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – The chargé d'affaires of the Russian mission to the EU, Kirill Logvinov, warned on Monday 3 October, when summoned to the European External Action Service, that the establishment of a military assistance mission to Ukraine by the EU would be seen as direct involvement in the conflict. According to the Russian mission, during the meeting with EEAS Director General for Russia Michael Siebert, Logvinov warned that Moscow will consider “Brussels’ continuation of its anti-Russian policy, in particular the implementation of the idea of setting up an EU military assistance mission for the Kyiv regime, as direct EU involvement in the conflict”. Mr Siebert expressed the EU’s strong rejection and condemnation of Russia's illegal annexation of the regions of Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia. (CG)
