Adoption of €33.4 million aid programme for Turkish Cypriot community for 2022

On Monday 25 July, the European Commission adopted the €33.4 million annual Action Programme 2022 for the Turkish Cypriot community.

This programme provides for appropriate measures in the framework of the EU support to the implementation of the Halloumi/Hellim package to help Turkish Cypriots to meet the relevant EU standards, following the registration by the Commission of Halloumi/Hellim as a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) in April 2021 (see EUROPE B12696A2).
