22/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission adopted on Friday 22 July the Austrian programme for the implementation of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF). The EU contribution to this programme for the period 2021-2027 amounts to €6.7 million, or €15 million in total when the Austrian national contribution is added. The Fund will help Austria to promote sustainable inland fisheries, aquaculture and processing, conservation of aquatic resources and food security through the supply of fisheries products. 64% of the EMFAF allocation will be devoted to promoting innovative investments and reducing the impacts of climate change.
