Imported agricultural products, ‘mirror clauses’ can be considered “on a case-by-case assessment”, according to a European Commission report

According to the European Commission’s report on ‘mirror clauses’ published on Friday 3 June, there is “room for manoeuvre” to apply reciprocity measures to imported agricultural products in line with World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, in terms of EU environmental and health standards.
