ECDC issues guidance to ensure hygiene standards at transit points and centres hosting Ukrainian refugees in EU and EEA

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) published on Thursday 2 June a guide for the assessment of transit points and accommodation centres in the European Union and the European Economic Area for refugees displaced due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

This guidance addresses public health considerations and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) measures both at border entry points for refugees fleeing Ukraine and at reception and shelter centres.
