02/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – Members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (‘ITRE’) voted on Thursday 2 June in favour of the draft report for opinion by Rasmus Andresen (Greens/EFA, Germany) on the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport (‘FuelEU Maritime’) (59 votes in favour, 9 votes against, 6 abstentions) (see EUROPE 12954/7). The text, drafted by Swedish MEP Jörgen Warborn (EPP), is still under discussion in the European Parliament, while just under 700 amendments have so far been tabled by the different political groups.
