02/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 2 June, the European Commission adopted its partnership agreement with France, which sets out an investment strategy worth €18.4 billion in cohesion policy funding for the period 2021-2027. This agreement, the eighth concluded between the EU institution and a Member State, covers 4 national programmes, 19 regional programmes and 18 INTERREG cross-border cooperation programmes. An envelope of €6.7 billion will come from the European Social Fund+ to improve vocational training for students and workers, to fight social exclusion more effectively and to address territorial disparities in access to health, education and social services, especially in the outermost regions.
