31/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – Deputy permanent representatives (Coreper I) supported two sets of conclusions in preparation for the Space Council on 10 June. One set of conclusions deals with the future of the flagship Earth observation programme Copernicus. For instance, Member States advocate a dual development of the programme (see EUROPE 12958/13). The other concerns the European Union’s progressive action in the area of space traffic management. The national delegations support introducing a legislative act yet do not set a precise date [by which this should be achieved] (see EUROPE 12958/24).
