EU makes urgent case for investing in resilience at 7th Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction

At the Seventh Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, hosted by the United Nations in Bali (25-28 May), the European Union reaffirmed its commitment to the Sendai Framework Plan of Action and called for urgent investment in resilience.

“We urgently need to make the much-needed investments in disaster risk reduction”, the EU and its member states said in a joint statement.
