EU Member States prepare to approve recommendation on fair transition towards climate neutrality

31/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday, 1 June, Member States’ permanent representatives (Coreper) are expected to approve a draft recommendation by the Council of the EU on ensuring a fair transition towards climate neutrality. Obtained by EUROPE, the draft text that the French Presidency of the Council has brought to the table is very similar to its earlier version, which we previously covered in detail (see EUROPE 12941/31). After getting the green light from permanent representatives, the text is expected to be formally adopted at the ministerial level during the next Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council on 16 June. See the draft text (in French): https://aeur.eu/f/1vf (DG)
