17/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – Nine Member States - Belgium, Cyprus, France, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania and Slovakia - have called on the services of the European Technical Support Instrument (TSI) for reforms to help deal with the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (see EUROPE 12915/8). This instrument will help them to absorb EU funds to allow them to: - establish structures and mechanisms for the reception and integration of people fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine; - recognise the qualifications and skills of Ukrainian refugees. A call for expressions of interest has also been launched to help EU countries gradually reduce their dependence on fossil fuels from Russia. (MB)
