21/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 21 March, the European Commission launched an additional call for projects under its EU Technical Support Instrument (TSI) to help Member States deal with the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This will cover projects that aim to: - strengthen institutional and operational capacities (housing, education, health care, employment) to receive people fleeing the war (deadline: 8 April); - improve the socio-economic integration (recognition of academic qualifications for access to the labour market) of refugees from Ukraine (deadline: 8 April 2022); - make the best use of available EU funds to provide accommodation for unaccompanied families or children (deadline: 8 April); - gradually reduce dependence (identify reforms and investments at national, regional and cross-border levels) on fossil fuels from Russia (deadline: 24 March).
