05/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Thursday 5 May an additional €52 million in support to Moldova to strengthen the country’s resilience, recovery, and long-term reforms. Two actions will be funded under the 2021 Annual Support Programme. Firstly, EU4Reforms will support Chisinau in the implementation of the reforms related to the Association Agreement and the EU-Moldova Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, in particular in the field of good governance and strategic communication to combat disinformation. EU4Recovery and Resilience will contribute to strong, sustainable and inclusive economic development in Moldova, including support to SMEs, improving the business climate through trade facilitation, and enhancing employability. It will also support a transformative green agenda for Moldova. (CG)
