01/04/2022 (Agence Europe) – In a position paper published on Thursday 31 March, Eurochambres, theAssociation of European Chambers of Trade and Industry, called on the Western Balkan countries and the EU to set a clear timeframe for the implementation of reforms leading to the EU accession of Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. According to Eurochambres, in order to prepare for accession, the EU should support business digitalisation, entrepreneurial knowledge and training through regional partners, “such as the Chambers of Trade and Industry”. The EU should also offer the future Western Balkan Member States privileged partnerships in key strategic areas and provide additional support for the rapid implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. Finally, the EU should increase its pre-accession support. See the position: https://aeur.eu/f/12i (CG)
