Compromise EU Council decision on hate speech and hate crime still not attractive to all Member States

The French Presidency of the Council of the EU (FPEU) aims to have a decision adopted at the next ‘Justice’ Council on 4 March to include hate speech and hate crime among the European criminal offences listed in Article 83 TFEU. It submitted a compromise decision text to Member State representatives on 18 February, according to a document obtained by EUROPE.
