10/02/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced in a press release on Thursday 10 February that an additional €206 million will be provided for recovery and the green and digital transition to Germany, Malta, France and Austria, through the 2022 tranche of the REACT-EU programme. These resources should assist these countries in strengthening their health systems and accelerating the green and digital transition within their regions. In Germany, Bavaria will receive €44 million and North Rhine-Westphalia €64 million. In Malta, €11 million will be invested in new equipment for treating cancer patients and for strengthening surgical and operative services. In France, Nord-Pas-de-Calais will receive an additional €36 million to help SMEs, while Picardie will receive €18 million. €33 million will also be invested in Austria to support SMEs. (SP)
