Ryszard Legutko and Raffaele Fitto re-elected as Co-Chairs of ECR Group

14/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 14 December, the members of the ECR Group in the European Parliament re-elected Ryszard Legutko (Poland) and Raffaele Fitto (Italy) as their leaders for the second half of the 2019-2024 legislature. Assita Kanko (Belgium), Peter Lundgren (Sweden), Robert Roos (the Netherlands), Beata Szydło (Poland), Hermann Tertsch (Spain) and Roberts Zīle (Latvia) were also elected Vice-Chairs of the sovereignist group. Angel Dzhambazki (Bulgaria) and Kosma Złotowski (Poland) will act as treasurers, the latter also being the ECR Group’s candidate for the European Parliament Presidency (see EUROPE 12848/28). Roberts Zīle and Karol Karski (Poland) are also candidates for the posts of Vice-Chair and Quaestor of the Parliament respectively. (MB)
