03/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 2 December the EU-Montenegro Association Parliamentary Committee called in a joint statement for Montenegrin and EU stakeholders to speed up the country’s negotiation process. The Committee urged the Montenegrin authorities to give priority to legislative initiatives related to the EU reform agenda. It also said there was a need to strengthen the political commitment and broad dialogue between the ruling and opposition parties, which is necessary to unlock important segments of the judicial reforms and achieve tangible results in the fight against organised crime and corruption and in the preservation of the rights of national minorities.
