03/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Friday 3 December that the EU has mobilised €2.5 million in additional emergency aid to further support vulnerable refugees and migrants stranded in Bosnia and Herzegovina and sleeping outdoors in winter temperatures. More than 1,000 people are outside EU-funded temporary accommodation facilities, with limited access to basic services. These funds will provide them with shelter, food, water, access to sanitation, health care, including psychological support and mental health care, clothing and protection. Particular attention will be paid to the protection of children and unaccompanied minors, both outside and inside EU-funded accommodation centres, the Commission stressed in a statement. (AN)
