Denmark and Costa Rica launch alliance at COP26 for exit from oil and gas

12/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – As part of the 26th session of the UN climate conference (COP26) in Glasgow, an alliance was launched on Thursday 11 November by Denmark and Costa Rica, in which the countries commit to stop issuing new oil and gas exploration and exploitation licences. They have also agreed to set an end date that is compatible with the Paris Agreement for existing exploration and exploitation activities.
