COP26, launch of an alliance for “zero emission” cars and vans

A coalition of 34 countries and stakeholders launched an alliance for “zero emission” cars and vans on Wednesday 10 November at the 26th session of the UN Climate Conference (COP26) in Glasgow.

The signatory countries, including 12 EU Member States (the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Sweden, Cyprus, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Ireland, and Croatia) will “work towards all sales of new cars and vans being zero emission by 2040 or earlier, or by no later than 2035...
