03/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – In the margins of the UN COP26 Conference in Glasgow, on Tuesday 2 November, the European Commission, the Breakthrough Energy Network and the EIB formally concluded the partnership to mobilise up to €820 million between 2022 and 2026 to accelerate the deployment and commercialisation of innovative technologies that will contribute to achieving the EU’s climate goals (see EUROPE 12732/17). Investments will be directed towards a portfolio of high-potential projects that have been established in the EU within four sectors: clean hydrogen, sustainable fuels for aviation, direct air capture and long-term energy storage.
