Commission launches EU digital platform on preventing food loss and waste

A digital platform called the EU Food Loss and Waste Prevention Hub was launched by the European Commission on 29 September, the very date designated by the United Nations General Assembly as the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste (IDAFLW).

In this way, the European Commission hopes to promote exchanges of knowledge and experience and the dissemination of initiatives to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 12.3), which will result in the halving of food waste...
