Industrial air pollution in Europe caused between €277 billion and €433 billion in societal costs in 2017, EEA estimates

By causing damage to human health, the environment, and infrastructure, emissions of air pollutants and greenhouse gases (GHGs) from large industrial sites in Europe cost society between €277 billion and €433 billion in 2017, according to a report by the European Environment Agency (EEA) published on 29 September.
